Recommendations and recommendations for improving the regulatory framework in the field of epidemiological safety have been developed to strengthen the resilience and preparedness of the health sector in case of crisis. In order to better cope with outbreaks of infectious diseases, there must be a single and integrated approach and interaction between all those involved in the containment of infectious diseases.
Recommendations of epidemiological requirements have been developed as a set of recommendations for improvement of the infrastructure, indoor air quality and the so-called Model Plan of medical treatment institutions. The Model Plan is an explanation of Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 104, Regulations regarding the essential requirements of the hygiene and Anti-epidemic regime in a medical treatment institution, for the application of requirements and helps medical treatment institutions to develop their individual Plan for each in accordance with the specific nature of services and procedures provided by the institution. The Model Plan shall be drawn up by the Centre for disease Prevention and Control in co-operation with the Inspectorate.
Recommendations for improvement of epidemiology requirements have been prepared in accordance with the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility Plan in the framework of implementation of measures in the Ministry of Health department.
When drawing up recommendations for epidemiological requirements, the Inspectorate carried out an evaluation of the existing requirements, comparing it with the regulatory framework of other countries. Also, assessments of the general conformity requirements of medical treatment institutions at the disposal of the inspection as the health care supervising institution, the results of the audit of hospital anti-epidemic and hygienic regime plans, as well as measurements of the air quality of individual medical treatment institutions have been used in the drawing up of recommendations.
Proposals for the development of the Model Plan for evaluation and decision-making have been sent to the managing Authority in the field of epidemiology surveillance, namely the SPCC.
The Inspectorate will inform and request in writing feedback, randomly audited medical treatment institutions during the preparation of recommendations regarding the results of the audit of their hygienic and anti-epidemic plan and recommendations for further improvement of epidemiological safety.
