About sustainable mobility at the youth festival "Kopums"

On 12 August, the youth festival "Kopums" took place in the youth capital 2024 - Livani, where the Ministry of Transport (MoT) participated with the activity programme "Sustainable Mobility Stop".

The young people were offered a variety of youth-engaging educational and fun activities on the theme of sustainable mobility - competitions, tests and other activities with prizes. The young people actively participated in various activities - quizzes on safety when travelling with micro-mobility tools - bicycles and electric scooters, took photos at the sustainable mobility stop and took part in the activity "Try on your safe driving glasses" organised by the State Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD). The young persons were also invited to participate in a survey on improving road safety in Latvia.

To celebrate Latvia's 20 years of EU membership, the visitors to the festival had the opportunity to learn about projects implemented in the transport and communications sectors with co-financing from EU funds, including a poster exhibition on EU-funded projects that improve our daily commute.

The MoT participation in the festival was co-financed by the EU Technical Assistance means.
