The closing of the project * financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) was noted by the opening of the premises of the Directorate General for Oral Diseases on the 4 th floor of the Medical Corps of the Cesis Clinic on 10 December 2021.
As part of the project, engineering communications have been restored throughout the medical corps, which was critically outdated, completely rebuilt by the oral disease department on the 4 th and 5 th floors, two new elevators have been installed, as well as a series of essential, advanced medical technologies for the provision of high-quality services at the Cheese Clinic. In addition, for the clinic's own funds, modern, epidemiological locker rooms have been constructed in the basement.
In order to facilitate the development of cooperation between health authorities in Vidzeme cooperation area, cooperation with Vidzeme hospital was established in the framework of the project, with the support of the project, which is also intended for the development of the cooperation partner. Cooperation shall include patient circulation, human resources exchange and other types of cooperation (remote counselling).In addition to the project, modern medical technologies were purchased, gradually replacing the old ones at both the Cheese Clinic and Vidzeme Hospital. Medics at the Cheese Clinic use the new fibrogastroscope, fibrocolonoscope, ultrasonography, the 3D laparoscopic video system for performing low-infested operations, the surgery table, and the two detector digital X-ray machines purchased in 2021. Vidzeme hospitals, on the other hand, have been added to the range of medical technologies as a co-operation partner with the surgery desk, urologic ultrasonography equipment, gynecological ultrasonography equipment, video gastroscopes, video oconoscopes, blood pressure holter and ECG cholera receptionists.
Renovated rooms and purchased medical equipment will ensure better access to medical services for citizens, as well as comfortable facilities, will help not only to recover more quickly, but will also help workers with a more comfortable and comfortable working environment.
Total project funding of €3 million, including: ERDF cofinancing €1 million; national budget €125 thousand; local government co-financing €83 thousand and clinic cofinancing €1.7 million. Deadline for implementation of the project: 27 December 2018 - 30 April 2022.
