Ministry of the Interior

The EU Internal Security Fund 2014-2020 National Programme activity "Strengthening the Capacity of the State Police Forensic Department" project No. VP/IDF/2018/6 "Development of the Forensic Expertise Laboratory Information System (ELIS)" (hereinafter referred to as the Project) has been completed.

The project aimed to strengthen the capacity of the State Police Forensic Department by ensuring the transition of direct task execution processes to a digital environment, creating and implementing a modern, high-quality and secure Forensic Expertise Laboratory Information System (ELIS).

The Forensic Expertise Laboratory Information System was put into operation on April 8, 2024. ELIS is integrated into the unified eCase platform and is a component of eCase. The Forensic Department has started digitizing the Department's quality system processes, and the issuance of expert opinions in digital form will soon follow.

The development of the new KRASS is eagerly awaited, which will allow the implementation of ELIS-KRASS data exchange. Currently, partial ELIS-APAS data exchange has been implemented.

The State Police, in cooperation with the Information Centre, plans to continuously develop ELIS so that the expert's primary work tool is always up-to-date and meets modern requirements.
