The winners of the competition "The Most Energy-Efficient Building in Latvia 2024" on their feelings after the announcement of the results.

The competition "The Most Energy-Efficient Building in Latvia 2024," organized for the 14th year by the Ministry of Economics (EM) as part of the "Live Warmer" campaign, has concluded. The competition is held in cooperation with the Ministry of Climate and Energy and the Latvian Association of Civil Engineers.

Winners of the "The Most Energy-Efficient Building in Latvia 2024" competition:

  • Apartment building in Riga, Dzelzavas Street 90 – 1st place in the category "The Most Energy-Efficient Renovated Apartment Building in Latvia 2024"; Link

About the competition "The Most Energy-Efficient Building in Latvia"

As part of the informative campaign "Live Warmer," the competition is organized by the Ministry of Economics in cooperation with the Ministry of Climate and Energy and the Latvian Association of Civil Engineers. This year, a total of 43 building applications were received. Detailed information about the competition is available on the website www.energoefektivakaeka.lv.

The aim of the competition is to promote good practices in building energy efficiency and sustainability by implementing energy-efficient construction, renovation, and reconstruction of buildings, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing public awareness of well-being, building thermal insulation, indoor climate, and the importance of and opportunities for reducing greenhouse gas emissions to create a high-quality, architecturally expressive living environment. The competition is co-financed by EU funds.
