Cooperation for strengthening internal security with EU support

On April 10, 2025, in Riga, at the Ministry of the Interior, 1 Čiekurkalna 1st Line, the "Ministry of the Interior Industry Day 2025" will take place. Its aim is to stimulate discussion on current issues in the interior sector, as well as to provide an opportunity for businesses and educational institutions to introduce interior sector agencies and allies to technological development trends in strengthening internal security functions.

The event is organized in cooperation with the Federation of Security and Defense Industries (FSDI Latvia).

The event will be opened by the Minister of the Interior, Rihards Kozlovskis, and the Chairman of the Board of the FSDI Latvia, Māris Krievs.

Industry Day will offer the opportunity to listen to a discussion on crisis preparedness and business continuity – risks will be analyzed, priorities evaluated, and practical steps that can be taken today. The conversation will discuss more efficient use of resources, development of cooperation, and the role of technology, taking into account personnel shortages and future budget priorities.

Also, Avital (Avi) Sahar, Executive Director of "SAHAR Agenda and Brand Management", will share his experience on social engineering and crisis management, emphasizing the application of AI technologies.

In conclusion, speeches will be given by Elīna Egle, Chair of the Board of FSDI Latvia, and Dimitrijs Trofimovs, State Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior.

Event participants will also have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the industry and research institution expositions and demonstrations.
