Current security solutions: innovation Think Tank at the Ministry of the Interior

On February 19, 2025, the Ministry of the Interior hosted an innovation think tank, "Current Solutions in Security and Defense," organized in collaboration with the Latvian Security and Defence Industries Federation (DAIF), Federacija.lv.

The innovation think tank was organized for the first time and is part of the preparation for the Ministry of the Interior's Industry Day, which will take place on April 10th this year.

During the think tank, representatives of the security and defense industry presented various solutions related to drone detection, radio communications, and their integration. These solutions were developed taking into account the needs and problem issues defined by the institutions of the internal affairs sector, to promote their practical application in the work of the services.

Discussions on possible solutions and the latest technological opportunities will continue at the Ministry of the Interior's Industry Day, which aims to provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs and educational institutions to introduce the institutions of the internal affairs sector to technology development trends in strengthening security functions.

The Ministry of the Interior's Industry Days are organized with the support of European Union funds.
