Mucenieki asylum seekers center becomes warmer and more energy-efficient as the EU co-funded project continues

Ministry of the Interior

The EU co-funded project No. NVA/PMIF/2023/3 "Improvement of the technical condition and landscaping of the building corps and territory infrastructure of the asylum seekers' center" is ongoing.

As part of the project, the energy efficiency of the building of the Asylum Seekers Center in Mucenieki is being improved. Construction works have been completed, and the process of commissioning the building has begun.

As a result of the project, the building's thermal performance will improve and the efficient use of energy resources will be positively influenced. The working conditions of building users (asylum seekers, as well as employees of the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs and the State Provision Agency) will improve. In addition, not only will there be savings in thermal energy, but also the building's exterior appearance will be improved, its service life will be extended, and the building will blend well into the spatial ensemble, increasing the building's significance in the public space.
