Opening of the Rehabilitation Department of the Ziemeļkurzeme Hospital

Today, September 29, the Rehabilitation Department of SIA "Ziemeļkurzeme regional hospital" is officially opened.

The new, modern rehabilitation department has 8 inpatient beds, a spacious physiotherapy room with special rehabilitation machines, a rehabilitation pool with a raised floor, water procedures, physical procedures, a salt room, offices of occupational therapy, speech therapist and other functional specialists. With the establishment of the new department, rehabilitation services will become more accessible and diverse for residents and will provide modern health care close to the place of residence. In particular, the quality and variety of inpatient and day-patient rehabilitation services will be improved and developed, as well as outpatient services will be improved.

The total cost of the reconstruction of the department, new equipment and furniture is 2.8 million euros . Funding for the implementation of the project was obtained from the funding of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), as well as from the state budget and co-financing of the hospital*.
