Within the framework of the EU co-funded project No. NVA/PMIF/2024/1 "Adaptation of PMIC "Liepna" for long-term operation", a contract has been signed for the development of construction design documentation for the adaptation of the building for long-term operation, construction works, and author's supervision. The contract has been signed with SIA "Livland Group", which has undertaken to perform the aforementioned works for 124,630.00 EUR (including value added tax).
The project aims to adapt the asylum seekers' accommodation center "Liepna" for long-term operation by implementing energy efficiency improvements and necessary building reconstruction measures.
During the project, it is planned to insulate the building, replace windows, renovate the heating system, and renovate the interior, as a result of which the building's thermal performance will improve and the efficient use of energy resources will be promoted, increasing the building's service life. It is also planned to carry out landscaping work, which includes the construction of access roads, the creation of site lighting, the construction of a parking lot, and the reconstruction of the boiler house and garage.
The total cost of the project is 4,266,667 EUR, of which 3,200,000 EUR is funded by the EU, and 1,066,667 EUR will be financed from the state budget. The project is being implemented from May 1, 2024, to October 31, 2027.
The project is being implemented within the framework of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2021-2027 planning period, the managing authority in Latvia being the Ministry of the Interior. The project is implemented by the State Provision Agency in cooperation with the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs.
