Virtual currency as an asset - international experience exchange has taken place thanks to EMPACT

From February 3 to 7, 2025, the 4th Division of the Criminal Intelligence Management Department of the State Police organized the second practical seminar on the topic "Virtual Currency as an Asset" in Madrid, Spain.

The seminar was attended by 24 financial investigators and asset recovery specialists from various European Union countries, the United Kingdom, the USA, and Switzerland.

It was organized by the State Police in cooperation with the German Federal Criminal Police and Europol's EFECC Asset Recovery Office, with the participation of crypto experts from the Belgian Federal Police. Invaluable support in organizing the event was provided by the Spanish Guardia Civil, which provided the premises for the seminar.

It was organized within the framework of the European Multidisciplinary Platform Against Criminal Threats (EMPACT) program for the prevention of money laundering.
