With EU support for future safety - the Fire Safety and Civil Protection College celebrates its 23rd anniversary

Ministry of the Interior

Today, the Fire Safety and Civil Protection College celebrates its 23rd anniversary!

The College's Director, Colonel Ivo Mežulis, states: "Together with my team, we are pleased that a tremendous amount of work has been accomplished, and every year the State Fire and Rescue Service can be proud of new professionals - representatives of a courageous and respectable profession. We have achieved much, but much remains to be done, therefore I would like to thank each and every one for their personal and team contribution to strengthening the internal security of the Latvian state."

The significant and multifaceted contribution of the European Union to the college's development is highly valued. The support of EU funds is vital, for example, in the construction of a multifunctional training ground, which significantly enhances the practical preparedness of the college's students for real-world challenges. EU investments also help to provide opportunities for the professional development of educators at an international level, which allows for the training of qualified specialists who are able to respond effectively to various types of emergency situations and strengthen Latvia's internal security.

We sincerely congratulate the college's employees and students!
