With the financial support of the European Union, the technological platform of the biometric data processing system will be adapted to the unified biometric data quality processing standards of the European Union IT systems

By promoting unified standardization and preparing IT solutions for the implementation of European Union interoperability solutions, an agreement has been signed for the implementation of the European Union's Financial Instrument for Border Management and Visa Policy project No. IC/RPVP/2024/8 "BDAS Modernization Phase 2".

Within the framework of the project, the Information Center of the Ministry of the Interior will undertake a set of measures to ensure the integration of the unified biometric data quality assessment tool, supplied by the European Union Agency for the operational management of large-scale IT systems in the area of freedom, security and justice (eu-LISA), into the technological platform of the Biometric Data Processing System. The project plans to conduct research, development, testing, and implementation of the unified biometric data quality assessment tool's implementation solutions into operational solutions in order to obtain and process biometric data that meets the standards set by the European Union's IT systems in the national IT solution.  

The implementation of the project is the next step in the modernization of the technological platform of the Biometric Data Processing System, which is planned to be completed on July 31, 2025.

The total project budget is 500,000 euros, of which 375,000 euros is funded by the European Union's Financial Instrument for Border Management and Visa Policy, and 125,000 euros is funded by the state budget.
