50 criteria for EU fund activity projects
evaluation in 2007-2013 have been agreed

Within the framework of 2nd operational programs "Entrepreneurship and Innovation" approved on September 25 for support of entrepreneurship the Committee approved 11 criteria sets for evaluation of European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) activity projects in amount of 566.4 million euro (~11% of EU funding granted to Latvia in the new period).    
    
Within the framework of 3rd operational programs "Infrastructure and Services" 12 criteria sets for evaluation of ERDF and Cohesion fund (CF) activity projects have been approved. Total funding for 8 ERDF activities and 4 CF activities is 415.6 million euro - ~9% of EU funding granted to Latvia in 2007-2013.

Project evaluation criteria together with other support conditions for each EU fund activity have to be approved by the government within the regulation framework of the Cabinet of Ministers before opening of tenders and project receipt. 

EU fund monitoring committee is a collegial institution ensuring EU structural fund and Cohesion Fund program implementation strategic management and supervision. Monitoring Committee consists of state administration, regional, as well as social partners and non-governmental sector, thus ensuring necessary transparency and communication of interests for EU structural fund acquisition.
