Ministry of the Interior

A topping-out ceremony was held at the future Daugavpils city disaster management center, marking the completion of the roof frame.

The new disaster management center has also finished interior wall construction and begun installing internal networks. Insulation work on the façade continues, along with the installation of reinforced concrete panels for the training tower. Interior finishing work, façade cladding, and garage floor concreting have commenced.

Upcoming work includes:

  • Installation of low-voltage and internal water/sewage networks;

  • Construction of drywall partitions and a ventilated façade;

  • Installation of exterior doors, heating, and ventilation ducts;

  • Laying of paving in the territory.

As of now, over 38% of the work has been completed, indicating that construction is progressing according to schedule. The construction is being carried out by the joint venture "KUUM & PC".

Despite challenges in the construction industry, which significantly impacted contractors' ability to fulfill their obligations in the construction of several State Fire and Rescue Service depots and disaster management centers for the Ministry of the Interior in 2022 and 2023, the State Provision Agency continues to take all necessary actions to restore construction progress and provide the necessary new premises for firefighters, police officers, and other planned services as soon as possible.

This project is being implemented thanks to funding from the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
