All the funding granted has been allocated to projects of programming period 2004-2006 

As of December 31, 2008, when the last structural fund projects were finished from 439 million Lats granted by the EU within the scope of European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), European Social Fund (ESF), European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund (EAGGF) and Financial Instrument for Fisheries Guidance (FIFG) 438 million Lats or almost 100% of the total structural fund financing were paid to project implementers. 

Financial resources acquisition indicators of the programming period 2004-2006 show that as of December 31, 2008 ESF financing in amount of 91 million Lats or 102% have been paid, 67.5 millions Lats or 105% have been paid to EAGGF projects, and 17.5 million Lats or 97% have been paid to FIFG project implementers. In terms of funding acquisition ERDF falls a bit behind others with 261.5 million Lats or 93% of financing paid.   

In September 2008, there were over 80% of the financing allocated to ERDF and ESF projects which means that in the end of the year financial resources acquisition indicators increased very rapidly and reached maximum.
