Discussions on important topics of internal security will take place during the LAMPA Conversation Festival in the People's Security tent

Ministry of the Interior

On 9 and 10 June 2023, the Ministry of the Interior in cooperation with non-government institutions will participate in the LAMPA Conversation Festival by offering to visitors discussions on important topics of national internal security. In two days, eight discussion panels are planned in the People's Security tent to promote public awareness and resilience to various security-related risks, to present the work of the interior sector for the benefit of the public, and to promote cooperation with the non-governmental sector.

Visitors to the LAMPA Conversation Festival will be able to listen, think, participate and talk to knowledgeable high-level interior sector professionals about national internal security in general and related issues.

In addition, visitors will be offered a number of engagement activities. In an activity organized by the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs, the Latvian Contact Point of the European Migration Network will call for awareness of the basic concepts of migration and asylum and the decision-making process in the exciting migration game “Destination: Europe”, which will help to understand migration and integration processes in the European Union.

In parallel to the discussions, experts and technical demonstrations of the interior sector services will take place, during which visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with the State Border Guard cinema window with the dogs of the service and the work of the mobile observation complex of the State Border Guard, as well as to visit the State Border Guard Aviation Board informative bench. It will also be possible to inspect and test the vehicles of the State Police, to observe the demonstrations of the National Police Criminal Board, as well as to familiarize themselves with the work, techniques and equipment of the State Fire and Rescue Service.

We invite festival visitors to participate actively in the discussions of the People's Security tent.
