On June 6, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the regulations for the implementation of the "Development of Public Outdoor Space" measure of the European Union Cohesion Policy Program for 2021-2027 developed by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development.
The funding available for the event* from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is 23.66 million euro intended for the development of public outdoor space in the functional areas of cities in the amount of 117,666 m2, improving the quality of the living environment and increasing public safety:
· at mobility points;
· at buildings where state or local government services are provided;
· at buildings where business is conducted;
· in places where activities that will increase public safety are planned, etc. places.
The maximum available ERDF funding for one project is 800 thousand euro. No more than two project submissions are submitted within one municipality.
As part of the event, local governments will be able to improve the territories and install the necessary engineering connections (electricity, water management and heat supply) or deep wells (to ensure drinking water supply).
The event is expected to be implemented until December 31, 2026.
The evaluation criteria of project submissions were approved at the meeting of the European Union Funds Supervisory Committee on April 11, 2023. The selection is organized by the Central Finance and Contracts Agency.
