On June 6, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft regulations developed by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development, which provides for the financing of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in the amount of 25 882 500 euro for the development of the infrastructure of preschool educational institutions (PEI).
The support available for the event* is intended for the construction of new PEI, the reconstruction of existing PEI (including expansion or the construction of extensions) or the renovation or reconstruction of existing buildings, adapting them for the provision of preschool education services, in order to create new places for the reception of preschool children. As a result of the implementation of the measure, at least 1 070 new places will be created for the admission of preschool children in PEI, in order to promote the availability of municipal preschool education services.
One or more project submitters from one municipality implement projects whose total ERDF funding does not exceed 5 million euro.
Support is intended for municipalities where the queue for PEI is greater than 100 children.
The measure is expected to be implemented until December 31, 2029.
The evaluation criteria of project submissions were approved at the meeting of the European Union Funds Supervisory Committee on April 11, 2023. The selection is organized by the Central Finance and Contracts Agency.
