EU co-funded project launched to adapt the asylum seekers accommodation center LIEPNA for long-term operation

Project No. NVA/PMIF/2024/1 “Adaptation of the Liepna Asylum Seeker Accommodation Center for Long-Term Operation” is launched, financed within the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2021-2027 planning period.

Project Objective:

To adapt the Liepna Asylum Seeker Accommodation Center for long-term operation by implementing energy efficiency measures and necessary building renovation works.

Project Outcomes:

  • Construction works for energy efficiency improvement, including facade insulation, window replacement, heating system renovation, interior renovation, and other works;

  • Landscaping works, including construction of access roads, creation of site lighting, construction of parking lots, etc.;

  • Reconstruction of the boiler house-garage.

Project start date: 01/05/2024

Project completion date: 31/10/2027

Project duration (months): 42 months

Project Funding:

Total funding: EUR 4,266,667

EU co-financing: EUR 3,200,000

State budget funding: EUR 1,066,667

Project Implementing Partners:

Provision State Agency in cooperation with the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs.
