The modern and user-friendly

The modern and user-friendly "112 Latvia" app is already being used by more than 30,000 Latvian residents

Ministry of the Interior

The new "112 Latvia" app has already been downloaded by over 30,000 Latvian residents, who have also received several warnings about dangerous weather conditions on their smartphones. It is planned that on May 20, 2024, "112 Latvia" app users will also receive the first notification about a siren test on their smartphones.

"The new features of the "112 Latvia" app are particularly helpful for people who have difficulty concentrating in stressful situations and allow them to call for help by making a selection in the app. It is also useful that the new app allows users to easily receive notifications on their smartphone screen about possible threats, such as red or orange level warnings about dangerous weather conditions, siren tests and other events that require residents to be prepared to act if necessary or require immediate action from residents," explains Mārtiņš Baltmanis, the Chief of the State Fire and Rescue Service.

If you haven't had a chance to download it yet, we encourage you to do so today!

The "112 Latvia" app provides:

  • Information about potential threats and necessary actions, as well as siren tests;

  • Knowledge about what to do in various dangerous situations and recommendations for their preventive prevention;

  • The ability to easily contact the 112 Contact Center to inform them of the need for assistance.

Inform, receive and learn - download the "112 Latvia" app to your smartphone from Google Play and AppStore!

The "112 Latvia" app was created with the co-financing of the European Union.
