The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs has improved the information telephone service

Ministry of the Interior

In order to quickly and easily provide customers with the most up-to-date information regarding migration, personal identification documents and other issues of competence of the institution, the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs has increased the service capacity of the long-standing information phone 67209400. In future, call hearings will be outsourced.

This will enable more operators to provide telephone advice to a wider range of customers and provide fast and convenient information on business days.

"We have provided more than 10 thousand consultations on amendments to the Immigration Law as part of the information phone service this year, as well as nearly 20 thousand consultations on other services of the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs. Improving this service will allow customers to receive even better service than before,” emphasizes Ms. Maira Roze, Head of the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs.

By calling the information phone, the clients of the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs are able quickly and conveniently obtain information regarding issues that are relevant to them, such as amendments to the Immigration Law, visas and residence permits, personal identification documents, declaration and personal register and other services of the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs. The information phone can also provide answers to questions about granting temporary protection status, revoking residence permits or visas for Ukrainian nationals.

The briefing phone is available on business days: Monday through Thursday, calls are heard from 8.30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Fridays - from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.

The information telephone is financed by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund within the project “Updating the Software Platform of the Single Migration information system (stage 1)” (with regard to questions regarding entry and residence in the Republic of Latvia), as well as from the financial resources of the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs budget (questions regarding other services provided by the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs).
