Work continues on the EU-co-funded project to upgrade the technical infrastructure and landscape of the asylum seekers' center buildings and grounds

Ministry of the Interior

The implementation of project No. NVA/PMIF/2023/3 "Improvement and landscaping of the technical condition of the building complex and grounds of the asylum seekers' center" is ongoing. Within the framework of this project, construction works to increase the energy efficiency of the "Asylum Seekers' Center" in Mucenieki, carried out by SIA "REATON", have reached 60% completion.

The project aims to improve the energy efficiency and carry out necessary renovation measures for the "Asylum Seekers' Accommodation Center" in Mucenieki. As a result, the building's thermal insulation will be improved, and the efficient use of energy resources will be positively impacted. The working conditions of building users, including asylum seekers, employees of the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs, and the State Provision Agency, will improve. Additionally, the project will not only result in heat energy savings but will also enhance the building's exterior appearance, extend its service life, and integrate it well into the spatial ensemble, increasing the building's significance in the public space.

The project is implemented by the State Provision Agency. Project implementation is taking place from October 27, 2023, to December 31, 2024.
